Investing
Our mission is to enable our clients to enhance their lifestyle with income that rises faster than inflation, preserve capital and increase their wealth. This is accomplished by investing in the stock of companies that pay a growing dividend. A simple understanding of how this works gives our clients the peace of mind to invest with confidence.
A Different Approach
If you are currently paying an investment advisor to manage a mutual fund portfolio, did you realize that up to 40% or more of your return goes to investment fees? Our asset management fees are half what the typical advisor charges. In addition, with MG Financial Services, you will never own a mutual fund. Instead, we will create your own personalized actively managed growth and income stock portfolio. This cuts your investment fees by up to two-thirds allowing you to keep more of your money.
What is Dividend Growth Investing?
Dividend growth investing is a strategy of purchasing stock in companies that pay out a portion of earnings to shareholders with what is called a dividend payment. The strategy focuses on specific companies who have shown a history of increasing their dividend payment each year. These tend to be high quality, blue chip companies.
Why it Works
Dividend distributions act as a constant reminder to management about who really owns the company – you, the shareholder! Dividends keep the focus on continuing to create and maintain shareholder value. A rising dividend is a great predictor of future corporate performance. Simply put, dividend growth comes from profit growth. Companies will not be able to grow their dividend if earnings are not increasing. With an increase in profit, comes growth in capital.
What will my portfolio look like?
For each client, we create a personalized investment portfolio that is in line with their immediate lifestyle needs and long-term goals. Your portfolio will be invested in excess of 20 strong, stable, and mature companies that have a history of increasing their earnings and dividends year after year. Within the first few months, you will begin to receive dividend payments, and within the first year, begin to see that income grow. Our goal is to increase the income your portfolio generates by 4-6% per year.

People often worry about having enough for retirement. Unlike a capital gain strategy, where you must sell stocks to generate cash, spending dividends in retirement does not erode your principle investment. In addition, a good dividend portfolio can be passed down to your children and their children.
